The FD470 uses Siemens Simatic as PLC. Our software is easy to use and allows flexible programming of the drying process, every parameter can be adjusted. Drying can be done in up to 10 cycles and reported statistics give you insight into the effectiveness of the drying process to optimize your end result.
WAVE 470
The FD470 is a unique machine featuring proprietary technology developed by WAVE. It can operate in three distinct modes:
FD440 Mode
Ice is collected directly inside the main chamber, just like in the FD440. This method is fast, highly effective, but slightly less clean since the water is captured in the same space where the material is dried.
Infinity Mode
Moisture is collected in an external cold trap at the bottom of the machine, with a capacity of up to 50 kg of ice. Once the trap is full, it automatically defrosts and continues drying. As a result, the main chamber always remains dry, and the process essentially has no capacity limit.
Boost Mode
The process starts by using the bottom cold trap to capture up to 50 kg of ice. Afterwards, the system switches to cooling the main chamber, allowing it to collect an additional 60 kg of ice. In total, up to 110 kg of material can be dried in a single cycle —making this mode ideal for high-moisture products such as coffee, milk, and other liquids.
